Description
The Explosion-Proof Rapid-Drying Castable is an energy-saving refractory formulated to dramatically shorten reheating furnace curing cycles. It can be custom-engineered to meet specific curing time and performance requirements, achieving curing in 3–7 days compared to 12–21 days for standard castables—a time saving of over 5 days. Al₂O₃ content ranges from 55% to 70% depending on grade, with a service temperature of 1350°C. This product has been successfully adopted in over 40 steelmaking plants and more than 80 reheating furnaces, including operations at Baowu, Shaogang, Rizhao Steel, Jigang, and Jianlong Steel, demonstrating proven reliability across diverse industrial furnace environments.
