For the annual maintenance of the heating furnace in Hefa Rongju Project undertaken by CISDI Chongqing, conventional lightweight castables were originally selected for lining repair, which required lengthy ambient curing and staged heating treatment after casting. The full drying procedure took 12 days, creating tight maintenance schedules and heavy pressure on scheduled commissioning.During the maintenance in June 2026, the project contractor adopted JHR’s composite solution combining lightweight castables and special baking-free refractories for all repair zones including furnace roof, flue and sidewalls. JHR assigned dedicated refractory engineers to supervise full on-site casting and surface finishing operations. All delivered materials passed volume density, high-temperature linear change and modulus of rupture testing with all indicators fully compliant, delivering remarkable on-site performance advantages:

1.The baking-free formula eliminates long low-temperature moisture removal curing; gradient temperature rise and production startup can proceed immediately after repair works, reducing drying period from 12 days to merely 2 days;

Low bulk density of lightweight substrates effectively lessens load on furnace steel structure, while excellent thermal insulation performance under high operating temperature cuts gas consumption of the heating furnace;

The material features superior workability compatible with both thin and thick-layer patching and stable setting speed, with no large-area sagging or cracking defects during maintenance. The furnace achieved successful first ignition and commissioning right after repair completion.
